Baby · For family

The baby arrives. Mom stays in the picture.

Feeding, sleep, growth and milestones on the same timeline as her sleep, her recovery and her reserve. Two contexts, one story.

Coming nextComing next. Child profiles are in development behind a feature flag.

Why the baby chapter still asks about mom

The moment a baby appears, every product in the house forgets the mother. Feeds are logged to the minute. Naps are charted. Her own sleep, which is the other half of the same night, is nowhere.

In Mommy Refuel the baby's short night and her Refuel Score sit next to each other, because they are one story. Logging the baby takes seconds. Understanding the week takes one line.

  1. 01

    Feeding and sleep

Logged in seconds, by anyone in the Care Circle who is allowed to. A nanny's afternoon shows up without the nanny seeing anything else.

  2. 02

    Growth and milestones

Measured gently, recorded once, kept forever. Milestones become memories without extra work.

  3. 03

    Observations and appointments

Rashes, teeth, questions for the paediatrician. On the same line as the mother's own appointments.

  4. 04

    The difference

Most apps forget the mother the moment a baby appears. Here the baby's short night and her Refuel Score sit next to each other, because they are connected.

How it works

How it will work

  1. 01
    A child profile

In development behind a feature flag today. One profile per child, kept separate from the mother's private data at the root of the data model.

  2. 02
    Feeding and sleep in seconds

Logged by anyone in the Care Circle who has that role. A nanny's afternoon shows up without the nanny seeing anything about mom.

  3. 03
    Growth and milestones

Measured gently, recorded once, kept forever. A milestone becomes a memory without extra work.

  4. 04
    Observations and appointments

Rashes, teeth, questions for the paediatrician, on the same line as the mother's own appointments.

Facts

Status
Coming next. Child profiles exist in development and are not in the current TestFlight build.
Separated at the root
Personal, family and child data are separate tables with separate permissions, enforced in the database, not in the interface.
Who can log
Only roles that are given baby access. Access can be taken back at any time.
Not a medical record
Growth is recorded, not interpreted. Questions about it are for the paediatrician.

What Baby is not

  • Not a baby-only tracker that forgets the mother.
  • Not a source of medical interpretation of growth or sleep.
  • Not a way for a helper to see anything about the mother.
