Why the baby chapter still asks about mom

The moment a baby appears, every product in the house forgets the mother. Feeds are logged to the minute. Naps are charted. Her own sleep, which is the other half of the same night, is nowhere.

In Mommy Refuel the baby's short night and her Refuel Score sit next to each other, because they are one story. Logging the baby takes seconds. Understanding the week takes one line.

Separated at the root
Personal, family and child data are separate tables with separate permissions, enforced in the database, not in the interface.
Who can log
Only roles that are given baby access. Access can be taken back at any time.
Not a medical record
Growth is recorded, not interpreted. Questions about it are for the paediatrician.

What Baby is not

  • Not a baby-only tracker that forgets the mother.
  • Not a source of medical interpretation of growth or sleep.
  • Not a way for a helper to see anything about the mother.
